Greater Flint Juggling Club
Juggling Equipment

This page is for Jugglers that are just starting and are looking for supplies

There are not many stores in Michigan that sell Juggling supplies, at least that I know of.

But there are several Juggling Festivals held throughout the year.

At these Festivals you will find vendors that sell all kinds of Juggling supplies.

Also, they sell these supplies cheaper than you can buy them anywhere.

I will try to list these festivals on our Events page as I hear of them.

Encore Magic located at 5332 Corunna Road ,Flint and has a limited amount of juggling equipment on hand ,but they can order anything you might need .Call 732-3694

WHAT SIZE BALL is BEST for JUGGLING?

The answer is : One that fits your hand best.

As you hold it, it should fill your palm, centering itself easily.

As you are juggling, you do not have time to determine if the ball is centered in your hand. This should happen automatically.

This is important. If the ball is in the same spot every time as it leaves your hand. You will get the same result when tossing it into a pattern.

A smaller ball has more room in the air to avoid crashes. This is a good thing ,especially when juggling 5 , but since they are not centering in your hand. The pattern will go out of control much faster.

It does not take allot of money to get into juggling.

When Juggling you want something that has a little weight to it (but not too heavy) and will not bounce out of your hand when you are catching it.

Also something that is soft, so if they touch while in the air they will not bounce apart out of control.

Hacky sack balls are good, But some cost as much as Juggling balls.

Tennis balls are usually on hand for most and will work, but you may be chasing them more than you like.

For something quickly available .The dollar stores have a variety of balls that fit the description above. Most are a little off , when it comes to size and weight, but are close .

These all will work for a start, but if you are going to stick with Juggling,, that means allot of practice,, you will find that you will want some better equipment.

There are many different styles of Juggling balls and Juggling clubs available. If you are not sure what to buy. We will be glad to help.

I  have a few catalogs on hand at our club meetings for ordering Juggling supplies.

The balls I use are  from "Dub'e" Juggling .They are 4 panel , Squosh Beanbags, you can pick the colors of the panels. These are very nice, it was the end of the search,  for me, for the best ball . Cost :$8.50 a piece. For something cheaper look below.

When ordering I suggest the standard size. Unless you have very small hands,  the smaller balls are not easier to juggle.

Standard Size: 6.67 cm (2.625 in.) -- 130 gm (4.6 oz)

These are from Dub'e

For something less costly:

I  found this site that sells a set of 3 balls(#1022) for $5.89.

You get what you pay for. But these are very nice for the price and will work well for a beginner.

Keep in mind, If you find any cheaper than this online. Don't order it! You could probably buy the same from a dollar store.

If anyone knows of any Juggling stores or vendors in Michigan ,please let me know.
